Pros
Good medical, dental and vision benefits
Cons
+You'll get dropped by them at a moment's notice regardless of your contributions to the company +Slowly becoming just another cold corporation after going public +Favoritism is strong within this company +Management is good at coming up with policies, but not so good at enforcement or holding all employees equally accountable

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Switch full-time for more than a year
Pros
Amazing health benefits, "living wage", free daily lunch, team learning events, end-of-year holiday event with high-end gifts, great corporate culture, and access to company executives
Cons
Upward mobility can be difficult, perfection is an expectation as opposed to an intention, salary is good when weighing other benefits but it's also lower than similar positions outside the company.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Switch full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Leaving Switch was the biggest "Pro".
Cons
What isn't a "Con" about working at Switch?! Management discriminates against older individual's entering Switch, if a member of management violates policy they are simply reassigned to another Switch facility; whereas, if you aren't salary and you make a mistake then they simply create a paper trail to fire you. There is no room for personal or professional growth at Switch. The moment you mention any form of attending a school or program management is quick to scrutinize you. While at Switch I was consistently asked about, "whether or not I was intending to leave", simply because I was attending school. If I was the CEO of Switch, I would be highly ashamed of allowing such managerial incompetence to flourish. Manager's and Director's push their work onto the Supervisor's. Yet, most don't even know how to operate the system's. That in itself is a total shame... I can spend hour's writing about the unprofessional and disrespectful culture of Switch, but I know it will fall upon deaf ear's. The turnover rate is quite high for such an employee focused business. The underlying facts of this company speaks volumes. For those seeking employment with this company, don't expect a chance at career growth for at least 10 years. This company is a dead end and professional leadership is a foriegn concept in the mind's of Switch's small minded management. Best of luck to those who choose ignorance over truth...

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Switch full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
The benefits are better than any company that I have ever worked for. Plenty of opportunities to grow and be promoted within.
Cons
Management keeps progress on projects secretive. Upper management can be stubborn when presented with issues within department. Company is growing very quickly without expanding workforce fast enough to keep up.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at Switch full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Great people, medical, and they recently fixed their pay issues. I can honestly say despite some of the nonsense going on there I loved working with my team and for this company. Its truly sad how they lay'ed off their people.
Cons
After four years of working there, one year of working overtime severely understaffed and occasional weekends and another year all by myself working 10-12 hour days and occasionally coming in on my days off and working holidays...they lay me off without even consulting my direct supervisor. That's right! My boss didn't even know Id been fired until my brand new subordinate called him. I gave this place my all for the most part, I mean really went above and beyond and they just cut me without any sort of warning. I moved to a new location for these people! Business is business, but for those thinking of getting hired on or who are currently working there, NEVER stop looking for another job. That way if they cut you, youll already have other options, and if they keep you...maybe you end up finding something better!

RecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Switch full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Freedom to do your job. Company would back lots of R&D. My boss didn't micromanage. Pay was great (for the location). Health benefit monthly premiums were reduced drastically before I left. Paid lunches. The reviews on here are all accurate, the good and the bad ones. Some people got the short end of the stick, some got the long end of the stick? My direct manager wasn't terrible, although others did have some pretty bad hombres. The amount of money people got paid here to be vendor babysitters is pretty good. Never understood why people said the pay was low.
Cons
Too many reports that no one would read. Too many graphs made to prove a point that no one cared about. So much pressure to fix a problem that would fall on deaf ears once the root cause was determined. People complain about the pay but don't realize this isn't Amazon. Lots of people complaining about pay, but they NEVER left and they would also say " I can go here and make this much" but they would never leave. Lots of leadership courses that leads to no implementation. Depending on the department, work/life balance could suck, getting called late at night and having to come in to put out "fires." It would be nice to go home and not have to worry about checking emails.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Switch full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
In my observation, a lot of the negative reviews on here are from the typical disgruntled employees you would find at any workplace. If you are mature, responsible, and a hard worker then you will have good Karma here at Switch! - Full benefits (Medical, Dental, and Vision) Company pays the Premiums - Up to 3% matched 401K - Paid lunches or Per-Diem - Very competitive wages and salaries - Gracious annual bonuses and raises - Opportunity for growth - Good management who climbed their way up the ladder from the ground up I am grateful to have been an employee at Switch for almost 4 years now. I look forward to making this my career and seeing just how great this company can get. Keep Switch Great!
Cons
If you get in early, you have a great chance to move up the ranks and get promoted. Limited slots available for promotion depending on the region/campus. Once that position is filled promotions cease until someone quits or gets fired. Could be stuck in a shift that is less than desirable for an extended period of time.

Benefits package is outstanding. Very hard to beat anywhere else.
Cons
Management is an absolute joke. Bunch of good ol' boys club types there. And they dont care about the people on the floor.
