THEN LOOK NO FURTHER. If you are the kind of person that wants to move up and get paid for how hard you work then you are looking in the right place!!!! if you are looking for a mentor to learn to sell then manage a team then...

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at TEAM One - Chicago full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Mostly-supportive environment. Frequently rewards success. Room for rapid growth.

    Cons

Income is purely commission-based. Management and team members don't recognize a learning curve. The idea of failure, even minor failure, is mocked frequently. Management has no understanding of mental issues that may affect workplace efficiency.

    Advice to Management

Look up mental conditions such as depression or ADD, and come up with a training plan for those who suffer from them. Stop treating the idea of leaving the company as a ridiculous failure. Some jobs just aren't for everybody, and there's no shame in that. It makes new people who are trying sales for the first time afraid to find something else, which may not be the right choice for them.

I worked at TEAM One - Chicago full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Employees are supportive and there is a good sense of community. They often go out to eat together and the manager was very approachable. Commission is 160%

    Cons

Told me it was not a sales job during the interview but then told me during my first day that they wanted me doing sales full time for a year and then sales for half of the day after that. Told me I could choose a salary plus commision option instead of only commission, that was a lie. It's the same job as a door to door salesman only you go to small businesses in strip malls instead of homes.

    Advice to Management

Be honest about what the job is with your employees

I worked at TEAM One - Chicago full-time for less than a year

    Pros

No pros whatsoever. Not even great magazines in waiting room. The clearly immature "president" of this company is clearly not the caliber person who would be in charge of any legitimate company.

    Cons

Lies to get you in door. Lies to get you hired. Lying to clients. Shady everything. I could go on and on...

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to prospective and current employees. Stop lying to customers. Managers are shifty, president is incredibly childish.

We appreciate the feedback but you may have a few things wrong. Let's start with this being a legitimate company. We've been in business since 2004 and work with the biggest and best brand names, all industry leaders. I don't think they'd put their brand name on an illegitimate ...

I worked at TEAM One - Chicago for less than a year

    Pros

Good way to learn how to take rejection.

    Cons

You are going out door to door everyday, usually seeing between 60 to 90 businesses a day. The training is a joke, you go out one day with a sales rep and watch them try to get business. Never once do they train you in the best way. You drive around every day and for however much money you don't make they don't help you out with gas. Beware that they make the job seem better than it really is.

I worked at TEAM One - Chicago full-time

    Pros

A couple of pros: integrity, character, and team environment. Management team is very confident and charismatic - Outgoing atmosphere - Great Co Workers - Lots of room for growth and opportunity - Travel opportunities - Stability The only reason why I do not work anymore at Team One is because I moved out of State.

    Cons

You have to be self motivated. If you are lazy then you will not like this company.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the Awesome Work & Thanks for the opportunity.

I worked at TEAM One - Chicago full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Co-workers are awesome - Team nights - Positive atmosphere

    Cons

    - Pyramid scheme - It's door to door sales, not management training - Lied to about base pay

    Advice to Management

Be more open on the fact that this is straight up comissioned sales. Maybe then there'd be less turnover. When you say management training, people expect to rotate between the different aspects of the business and train with managers that specialize in that department (for instance, a few weeks spent with the sales manager, another few with operations, another few with finance, etc). With the system that you utilize,...

I worked at TEAM One - Chicago

    Pros

The people were friendly and that's it. They are all very out going and I'm sure knowledgeable.

    Cons

They are not up front with what the job is about. Not one person mentioned it was a door to door type of deal. If that's what you like then go for it. Just be prepared to meet a lot of confused and irritated people. It's clear these guys feel bothered by your presense. Also, there is NO type of training! You follow a more "experienced" person around all day who is rude to you the entire time. Also, they ask complete...
