I worked at TOP Group full-time

    Pros

Insurance benefits are great at a low cost

    Cons

Horrible corporate culture, rampant distrust among coworkers, boss yells, screams and throws tantrums in Japanese and English. Name calling, sexual harassment, it is shocking that their hasn't been EEOC violations reported, it probably is just a manner of time. Constant cycle of lies from management. Skirts the immigration law, employment laws, with visas, promotions and immigration related issues. Avoid this company, unless you are a masochist .

    Advice to Management

Fix your corporate culture, seek mental health professionals before the EEOC is knocking on your door.

I worked at TOP Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone there works their butt off. The team members are super nice, some I'm still very close with. There is a strong "teamwork" vibe present. Everyone has each other's back.

    Cons

The reason everyone works their butt off is because of the ridiculously low salary and commission. San Francisco has a lower base salary than the Atlanta office, which is under separate management. The team in Atlanta owns houses and cars, the team in San Francisco struggle to eat at the end of the month. The reason the team is so tight is because all we had was each other. There is probably enough stuff to write an entire novel series.

    Advice to Management

    Get an accountant.
Don't treat employees like they are worth nothing -- we are your source of revenue.

  4. "Not the best, far from awful"

    StarStarStarStarStar

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Easy enough work, they pay for everything but food, usually easy to communicate with superiors

    Cons

Hotels bad sometimes, takes them a while to pay you back for gas if you're a coordinator

    Advice to Management

Keep things more organized in the office, get maps and everything together more in advance, keep more consistent communication

I worked at TOP Group full-time

    Pros

Small office, nice people, nice coworkers. Hope they all succeed in whatever they do and I hope they get a better job than this place.

    Nice office location, too.

    Cons

I only was here for about a month and I could write a novel about how dumb this place was.

    1. Small office, means no room for growth.
    2. Micro-managing which is funny because....
    3. Training was essentially non-existent. They just kind of tell you what to do and hope you do it. The reason I was let go was for not following a horrendously stupid protocol correctly.
    4. The companies this company deals with expect you to find the best candidate for the job, that's able to literally do everything, yet they only want to pay this person about 30k a year. Good luck finding these people. Really, person reading this review, good luck. Which hence was another reason I was let go, was I found candidates that were too /good/ for the job. Yeah. Funny how that goes.
    5. My office only had one manager. Yeah...... they can't train nor can they manage.

    Advice to Management

    None.

    Pros

There are literally no good things I can say that I learned from working there, expect to keep my cool during stressful times, because drama was always happening there.

    Cons

Probably the worst environment any one can work for. A girl in the office cries everyday. Favorites are definitely identified and known. The turn over is ridiculously high. There are only people that stay there because they would not be able to make it in the normal corporate America because they are not professional enough, or they are required to stay for a visa or they will get deported. The CEO once said to me, "it is my goal to get everyone here as fat as possible." No understanding that salary employees should have freedom of time so long as they are meeting quota. I got reprimanded for being a minute late. Literally, one minute, it was like hell froze over. They enforce with strict Japanese work ethics and this is America. You will get treated as if you are a child. Within weeks of getting hired you will notice how much everyone hates working there, and is also looking for another job on the side.

    Advice to Management

Fire those who inhibit the progression of the company, on a personal level for people as well as a professional level. Hire better people. Stop micro managing and let people BE ADULTS! They don't need to be slapped on the hand for being a minute late.

I worked at TOP Group full-time

    Pros

I would only reccomend working here if you have no other job prospects but are desperate for money. This is maybe an ok stepping stone for someone who has a desire to be a recruiter.

    Cons

I could tell just from the interview that this was a sketchy place to work. Within the first week I knew that this job wasnt going to work for me. They expect a high level of professionalism, responsibility, and time commitment. But the compensation is nowhere near where it should be for what they're asking. I very much got the sense that the majority of their employees were there either for visa status requirements or were fresh out of college and had no idea how they should expect to be compensated for their services. Expect unrealistic quotas from the management: without going into too much detail they regularly expected unrealistic results and therefore expected you to work late(without compensation) on a regular basis. I could go on with many more details of an unsatisfying work environemnt, but I hope I have given you enough to make an informed decision about employment with top group
