I worked at TPI full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Health and life insurance, optional vision, dental and 401k. Pretty reasonable rates on insurance, but no match on 401k.

    Cons

No work/life balance: regularly scheduled 7-day work weeks, expected to work OT almost daily. Almost all print jobs within one industry, so we were experts in that one industry, but when there were slowdowns, vulnerable to layoffs. Too many hours leads to burnout and stress.

I worked at TPI full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Health, dental, vision, life insurance available, at a fairly reasonable cost. PTO accrues bi-weekly, usual paid holidays.

    Cons

The hours they require are insane. Expect to be available 7 days a week, unless time off is approved in advance. The company's clientele is almost entirely in one industry, so when there's a slowdown, you're vulnerable to reduced hours or layoff. They seem to deliberately keep an inadequate staff in some teams most of the time, so the employees are strongly pressured to work 7 days a week, often 10+ hour days. 401k available, but no employer match.

I worked at TPI full-time for less than a year

    Pros

New technology and pushing to learn new methods of code development

    Cons

They are all big fluff and talk. Working environment is like a frat community. The developers and managers there are a joke. No sense of direction and no proper coding experience. They have all the expensive tech but do not know how to use it. They hire multiple people to compete for one position and then fire them conveniently without any proper review, heads up and warning and blame it at you that you have not been performing well. Their codebase is really bad and you can see how their products look like. Go to the following link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tpi.theprinterinc and judge for yourself as to how 90's their UI/APP is in general. I repeat to any potential developers, please do not waste your time with this company and search for alternatives. They will get phased out soon.
