I worked at Tech for Less full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility, free lunch monthly, free drinks, no weekends, mgmt works with their valuable employees, can work from home if you work in the office

    Cons

Pay, no annual raises, benefits are too expensive, could be a more pleasant atmosphere, needs better training for warehouse and the office

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees as you customer & the employee will work the best for you!

I have been working at Tech for Less full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Monthly company lunches, free soft drinks, great break room. Most employees are easy to work with.

    Cons

Warehouse can be warm in the summers, they drop huge fans everywhere ... last two weeks of July are hot but they give out ice cream and cold treats during break time weekly in the summer

    Pros

    Relaxed Atmosphere
    Learn consumer tech
    Coworkers are great

    Cons

    Not much advancement opportunities
    Unorganized
Lots of useless products go through

    Advice to Management

Make have more quality control on products. Damaged but factory sealed should be discounted. The products are over priced

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Tech for Less as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

You have a job for the moment.

    Cons

Aweful pay, terrible work environment, and a corporate mindset of "even if a mistake wasn't an employees fault someone has to blamed so write them up anyways". They expect skilled technical educated grade work for barely above minimum wage payment.

    Advice to Management

Begin paying people more. The only way you'll ever have a successful business is if you pay comperable money for rendered services. Or I guess you could just continue to cycle through temps like toilet water

  5. "Company has potential however most of the Management is dysfunctional."

    Pros

Consistent 40 hour workweeks. Bonuses for getting perfect audit scores.

    Cons

Management is very cliquey and doesn't communicate effectively to new employees on procedures for the job. Training is hap hazard and many times I was given conflicting information from managers on the best way to proceed with a task. Also when the managers are upset at a employees mistake instead of confronting the employee immediately they gossip about it like high school kids. Overall very unprofessional work environment.

    Advice to Management

Communicate more with employees and if there is a problem immediately bring it up. Stop keeping on dead weight employees and actually keep employees that want to be there.

I worked at Tech for Less full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Fun, relaxed off-time environment
Great for nerdy people who like working with their hands
Once a month food-themed parties (pizza, bbq, mexican, etc.)

    Cons

    Management is absolute garbage
    - Would expect us to be super fast, but also with no mistakes at all
    - Improper training provided (was not trained on procedures for all product received)
    - Supervisor only around half the time when needed
    - Politics (some managers would try to get easier product for their "team")
    - Would get told wrong info by superiors occasionally
Immature employees (high-school like drama, stupid pranks, etc.)
    Pay is decent at best

    Advice to Management

Stop firing the wrong people, and start firing the right people (the ones that actually deserve it!!!)

    Pros

Flexible work environment. If you get on as a permanent employee you get benefits. Time off if you need it though usually not compensated.

    Cons

Management is in it only for themselves. No sharing of information from the top. Low moral due to unexpected loss of job perks for all the employees. Poor organization in the warehouse and parts department (would constantly get the wrong part for a repair).

    Advice to Management

Your company is broken, fix it.

    Pros

    Not too many.
    Sales employees seem happy.
    Several different workable shifts.

    Cons

    Warehouse environment
    Poor pay
Management rules with an iron fist

    Advice to Management

    treat the warehouse people better.

I have been working at Tech for Less full-time

    Pros

This company is a good place to start. The owners work hard to provide jobs for the people that need them. Some good perks to working here are free lunch once a month and free soda machine.

    Cons

The pay is not the best. Raises are hard to come by and most of the labor is temp labor. The summers also can get very hot in the warehouse.

    Advice to Management

I don't know that have any advice other than to try to make better choices about the business. Some of the business decisions made do not make a whole lot of sense. Better communication would be good as well.

    Cons

Management is a joke. Poorly work environment. Very high turnover

    Advice to Management
