Very proactive vision; leading non-profit in juvenile justice reform. You learn a lot. Every day is different. Lots of interaction in the community with youth, families and the school and court system.
Cons
Very fast-paced. Attached to UMBC so lots of bureaucratic tape when it comes to making change.
The youth are great to work with; the mission of the company is nice
Cons
Extremely toxic management (so many cruel mind games); incompetent/clueless upper management; weird (and illegal) reluctance/refusal to pay reimbursements even when you literally beg them; suffocating micromanagement; no breaks permitted; extreme burnout (working up to 60-70 hours per week); working on holidays and weekends; complete deterioration of mental health
