I have been working at The Learning Tree full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great people in leadership positions
    Generous PTO policies
    Good health benefits
    Hands on interaction with students
    Working for a good cause
    Promotions come from within
    Extremely diverse staff
Lots of opportunities if interested in working in social services, behavioral science, and so on -- will help you obtain certifications and and higher education and so on to become more qualified (may also result in pay increase)!

    Cons

    Frequent Turnover Rates
No holidays off, even for admin staff (understandable with the nature of organization) -- you have to use your PTO days for time off.
    Very long orientation (but paid)
Paid time off granted quarterly, not able to access all PTO days until a full year (say you get 16 PTO days a year, those days are divided up quarterly so you would get 4 days off a quarter and don't immediately have access to those 16 days which can be frustrating, especially if hired around the holidays)

    Advice to Management

Provide incentives for other departments' employees to continue working (raises are probably preferred).

I have been working at The Learning Tree full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Certifications on a few things are paid for by the company

    Cons

No raises unless you get a degree.

    Advice to Management

Provide raises as we do so much for so very little pay. Even fast food workers get paid more.

I worked at The Learning Tree part-time

    Pros

    Getting to know the children

    Cons

The downside of the company is that they don’t care about the safety of the workers. The company blinds the workers with a starting pay of $ 12 hr . The company will also take a child of psychiatric medication will out telling the staff about it and put the staff in severe danger . The kids that stay in the group homes are very strong and dangerous to the public . The company only provides care to the kids that are supposed to be in state institutions because they get more money for them. It’s all about the money and it’s very sad . The company has a school that’s not accredited with non licensed teachers and teacher assistants . This company should be closed down . It’s a group home for criminals and rapists. At this time they have about 3 male rapist on the campus and the victims are forced to be around them all the time. It’s very disgusting and disrespectful .
