Not a great experience

Pros

Good snack from Trader Joes

Cons

Working here was a truly awful experience. As other reviewers have said, the UK management is clueless as to how Hollywood runs and manages the US office poorly. Tiny decisions took weeks to make, and there was no US-based support so I worked 17 hour days to be in touch with London.

Worst agency in LA

Pros

Snacks. There is nothing else good.

Cons

They run the LA office like a monarchy. Theres a few British people they moved over so they could have anchor babies that are the only people they treat with any respect. Everyone else isn't of value to them and its set up to have 90 percent of their team stay at junior level with junior pay. They make it seem like there's the ability to grow but there isn't. They would rarely give promotions to anyone not from England. They tell everyone they can't give raises but then the owners of the company will come over rent a convertible Porche and throw parties for themselves celebrating how well they did each year. He would throw celebrations for himself for doing a bike race and marathon and wants everyone to make a big deal about his achievements. Lacking any self awareness at all. Total narcissist, it's kind of scary. It feels like the LA office exists so they can say "we have offices in the USA" but all significant projects go to the UK office. They had a "office" in NYC lol. It was one person at a Wework station. Since leaving and working at other agencies in LA I was able to see what a sham this place is. I do not recommend working here. They will work you to the bone for little compensation and they're rude and cold. It was so depressing being in that big open floor plan room with all these people silently working late hating their lives. There was always a collective feeling of depression and hopelessness. If you're reading this and work there now GET OUT NOW. There is something better out there for you.

Pros

Remote work for the most part which is a huge plus. Some seriously talented people.

Cons

Misinformed leadership. No onboarding. Low pay. Lack of empathy from management. No culture. Clear favoritism. No clear process or guidance. Extremely lacking in diversity and is not a priority at all. Energy is tense and heavy consistently.
