About the CEO:
- Takes a very self-standing approach when it comes to decision making, valuing his own opinions over the collaborative team.
- No vision for the company. Instead of creating a unique identity with the company, he focuses on making decisions based on what competitors do and not using company talent to create something distinctive.
- “Open door policy” and invites employees to talk to him if they ever have any questions, but all the responses are generic, political business responses rather than the truth.
- Obsession with company appearance: Does everything to make the company look good but puts very little into the company culture. The existing family-oriented culture was built by the employees.
- Doesn't build relationships with all his employees, leading to employees creating own collaborative work environment.
About the Company:
- Zero job security: Because CEO usually just gives out political business responses, there is no knowledge on how the company is actually doing so people can be let go at any time.
- There are times where promises made to clients will be over the top in order to win projects, leading to unreasonable timelines and expectations from the employees.
