    Pros

Smart and dedicated team of facilities experts delivered huge value to clients. Clients recognized it and great partnerships were created and nurtured.

    Cons

Long term market plan was lacking. Company was run like it was being sold, then was. New owner, Accruent, neglected the company and the value it brought to it's customers.

    Pros

Enjoyed working there pre acquisition, great team dynamics, flexible work hours, convenient office location.

    Cons

Things have changed after acquisition but I believe outlook is positive once fully integrated with new company and it's style and procedures.

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing forward, hire talented people, don't let the salary be deterrent. company needs senior highly skilled employees to move to the next level.

    Pros

Great location. Great team in early days. Hard work, but fun place to be.

    Cons

Management Kokos/Summers etc. all about making themselves look good at expense of others. Net result, the company was sold for a fraction of its potential value and best people left.

    Advice to Management

Nothing can be done now. Just a typical boring workplace.

I worked at VFA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Ability to work remotely from a home office. Decent medical benefits. Some coworkers experienced and professional. Travel to places in US and international.

    Cons

Worked 7 days a week for no reward or thanks. No pay for weekend travel. Project managers over worked and just passed the problem to the lowest person, the facility assessors. Marketing staff sold jobs without a realistic understanding of the scope, took their bonuses and had no further accountability. Minimal 401k matching. No training for new software or methodology. No time allocated for same.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with staff. Don't dump unfair workload on staff and just tell them to figure out how to get it done. Treat employees as a valuable asset.

    Pros

Good opportunity, learned a lot about a new domain (capital planning), great team and people, working in Boston (location), great customer base.

    Cons

Low budget that often restricted creativity, leadership, not as software focused as it should have been.

    Advice to Management

Very large prospect / custom deals are shifting the company's strategic focus. Better communication from executive team.
