On Sunday, July 14th, immerse yourself in a diverse array of captivating workshops at our ASCEND to Kemet Fest, where we will delve into Kemetic Yoga, poetry, and artistic expression. The workshops will range from 20 to 40 minutes and center on holistic thinking, familial values, and knowledge of self–the core tenets of this vibrant culture. Beyond creative endeavors, the ASCEND to Kemet Fest strongly emphasizes environmental consciousness through the lens of our ancestors, underscoring the significance of climate, nature, and overall well-being. Additionally, we will feature foods from the Diaspora from East and West Africa, dance, drums, and an array of artisan vendors and performers. All registration/ticketing fees will be used to pay for the fees of the fest and create job assistance, internships for the youth, and a safer, communicative environment, with fun for all families, with fresh foods, and low-cost entertainment.

Starting January 8th, ASCENDtials is offering its Kemetic Yoga Sunday sessions at the WorldBeat Cultural Center, on the lawn, at 10 am PDT. These sessions are designed to offer the daily needed alignment to get your week started off right. We practice outdoors, under the great Eucalyptus trees, and learn key aspects of the practice and ancestral knowledge. Join as a member and receive a month of free sessions, and other benefits. We are currently hosting a book club that sets the stage for dismantling structures and improves awareness of the importance of Knowledge of Self. We believe that without these tools that focus on gaps in our education; we will continue to reinforce destructive behaviors towards man and the planet, nor will we be equipped to dismantle these structures or see a connection and responsibility we have with the natural laws we must abide. These experiences are required to reconnect us with our purpose, place, and protection of the planet and its inhabitants. Nothing is more important to us.
