The future of Veterans health care begins now. On October 24, 2020 Cerner and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) launched the new modern electronic health record (EHR) system at Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, WA including its four community-based outpatient clinics. This event marks the first time in history three federal agencies are using the same EHR for secure, seamless exchange of health information. A sincere and heartfelt congratulations to Spokane VA Medical Center on a successful go-live of the new #VAEHRM. Today Legatum honors Breonna Taylor and stands firmly with Ms. Taylor’s family while they navigate the unthinkable. This vibrant young woman was loved by many and proudly served her community with bravery and integrity. Full of goals and looking into the future, her life was senselessly ended. Social injustice and unchecked police violence continue to be front-line news. All eyes are on national issues demanding radical and just change. While students gear up for fall classes at The University of Kansas, Legatum is making a difference by donating to the KU Endowment. Together we are building a greater community. Legatum is passionate about giving to meaningful causes that support the communities where we live and work. A very special young lady who is also a friend of Legatum has been battling childhood cancer for two years. Legatum recently donated $2,000 to “On My Team16” with the goal of making a positive impact through personal comfort and support to pediatric oncology patients. At On My Team16, every child will know they are a part of something bigger – part of a team focused on fighting and winning their battle together.
