This past weekend, on June 2nd, Accel employees participated in the “Run the Ridge 5K and 1K Run/Walk”. Run the Ridge was started by Suzanne M. Gray and Right Fit in 2004 with the goal of creating a race for everyone to compete in that would support the community and benefit a wonderful cause. All net proceeds raised from the race went to “Charlie’s Gift Foundation”, a fantastic organization that helps families with autism and related disorders. Run the Ridge also benefits the "ProActive Kids Foundation", which helps aid in the development of children through physical, nutritional, and emotional commitment. Many of our employees finished the race relatively quickly. This could have something to do with the pasta party that we hosted on the Friday before the big race. We made sure our participants were “carbed up” prior to the race so they would have as much energy as possible before competing. Accel is committed to our employees’ health and wellness. We were thrilled that Accel raised the most funds and had the most participants compared to any other organization!
Soldiers’ Angels In 2017, Accel Entertainment was honored to contribute $27,000 to Soldiers’ Angels. This organization provides aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, their families, and a growing veteran population. In 2016, Soldiers’ Angels provided more than $15 million in aid to over 360,000 service members, veterans and their families. Soldiers’ Angels has over 20 different programs that help support our military and their families.
