Exciting news in #BreastCancerResearch! Results from the 7-year follow up of the phase 3 #KATHERINETrial—presented at #SABCS23—have shown that adjuvant ado-trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1) improves survival in patients at high risk of recurrence due to residual invasive disease following neoadjuvant therapy for #HER2Positive early #BreastCancer. As recently reported in The Oncology Nurse, an Amplity Health publication, the trial demonstrated that T-DM1 led to higher invasive disease-free survival and overall survival rates compared to the standard treatment, trastuzumab.
