Introducing one of ApplyBoard’s fantastic Learning & Development Program Managers, Anneke Pries-Junca. Anneke has been helping ApplyBoard Educate the World as a Learning & Development (L&D) Program Manager since July 2021. In this role, she helps ApplyBoardians integrate learning and professional development into their day-to-day lives. This helps all of us build our skills, so we can better support our global students in achieving their study abroad dreams. Happy International Women's Day! 💜 At ApplyBoard, we're incredibly proud that the majority of our team members are women. Yesterday, ApplyBoardians gathered at Canada HQ and virtually to celebrate International Women's Day and this year's theme, Inspire Inclusion! We were joined by two powerhouse women: our very own Alexa Abiscott, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary, and Bobbie Chatha, System Principal at Waterloo Region District School Board. They explored the importance of mentorship for women, both seeking out mentors and being a mentor for others, and why we all need to strive for an outcome of belonging. Let's all work together, today and every day, to Inspire Inclusion.
Happy International Women's Day! 💜 To support this year’s IWD theme, Inspire Inclusion, ApplyBoard created the Women in STEM Awards! The Women in STEM Awards help to Inspire Inclusion by granting a total of C$15,000 in scholarships. The scholarships will be awarded to six female-identifying international students starting a post-secondary study program this fall in Canada, the United Kingdom, or the United States. Award winners will be selected by education advisors who work with ApplyBoard to connect students with study programs across the world. Scholarship winners will be contacted later this year, and we’re excited to see where they’ll go!
