On May 19th, BCC graduated its inaugural Rising Leadership Program Cohort in Atlanta, GA. The Rising Leadership Program gives our emerging leaders the opportunity to dive deeper into leadership, communication, and overall industry skills. At the conclusion of the program, each participant had the opportunity to present in front of executive leaders, their instructor team, and committee members what they learned in the program as well as ideas on how to apply this learning to future BCC development. Senior Vice President and Florida Engineering Foundation (FEF) Board of Trustee member Victor H. Herrera recently presented a check to Miami-Dade College on behalf of the Foundation. FEF was established to encourage and assist students in pursuing engineering careers and to educate the public about engineering. BCC is excited to work with The City of Opa Locka and Verra Mobility on a new contract for Red Light Camera Installations. BCC will lead the design for six intersections throughout the city. Our scope of service involves handling all aspects of design, and utility coordination. This is our first work with a new vendor in South Florida. Verra is now the largest Speed Camera and Red-Light Camera System provider in the US. ππ»
On Tuesday, August 16th BCC attended The Cuban American Association of Civil Engineers (CAACE) Inaugural Turn the Tide Charitable Event for Biscayne Bay. We had the pleasure of listening to Irela Baue; Chief Bay Officer, Marisela Aranguiz; Deputy Director for Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department; and Hardeep Anand, Director of One Water Strategy speak about the latest infrastructure initiatives being implemented to protect Biscayne Bay. π§

Spring is just around the corner! πΈ Get ready Georgia for the PATH400 Multi-Use Trail. This environmentally responsible trail provides recreational and social opportunities, as well as a sense of identity and community to residents. The trail includes walking and biking connections to schools and commercial business districts. Our staff is very proud to have managed and designed this iconic project that provides several trails βmomentsβ along the route, including parks, a water feature, artwork and mural installations. The design for the trail reflects public engagement conducted prior to design initiation. We canβt wait to see you there! ππΌ #GettingThereJustGotEasier
