Yesterday we launched Workday!
Earlier this month, the PRIDE committee organised our annual Drag Bingo event with the fabulous Ginger in our London office. We raised £590 for Kaleidoscope, a UK-based international charity fighting for a future where LGBTQIA+ people everywhere can live free, safe and equal lives. Thanks to everyone for their donations and congratulations to the lucky 4 who won tickets to the KIKI Drag Cabaret.
To celebrate the start of International Women’s Week, the Women’s Network and Funraising Committees organised an evening of trivia, food and drinks at the LBR London office last Thursday. We raised over £750 for Swawou, a girl’s school that LBR founded and funds, in Sierra Leone. It was our first big event of the year, and we’re delighted with the funds raised.
LBR's Pride committee hosted a Drag Bingo in June to celebrate Pride Month and raise money for Mermaids, a UK based charity that supports trans, non-binary and gender diverse children. We had a beautiful balloon display made by Ohana Balloons - please do check out their events page on instagram @Ohanabaloons4
We are delighted to be confirmed as a 2024 Inspiring Workplace winner!

LBR’s London office was bustling with excitement last week as we hosted TechWeek ’23. Our largely remote or hybrid teams of 60+ developers, product managers, data scientists, UX and QA professionals came together for a few days of learning and hacking.
Stott and May recently hosted its Neuroinclusion Live 2023 event at the LBR London offices. The event was a great opportunity to discover how to cultivate an environment where neurodiverse talent thrives while learning some of the common misconceptions about neurodiversity. As part of National Inclusion Week, it’s been great to hear some of the really positive comments about Inclusion at LBR from managers and employees. Here are a snapshot from the different conversations we’ve been having: ‘’As a senior leader at LBR it’s important to me that I am representing a business that takes a progressive approach to recruitment. From a personal perspective, I’m keen for my kids to understand the importance of inclusion in all contexts and for them to know I’m playing a part in promoting the right attitudes amongst those I work with.’’ ‘’LBR had a very inclusive hiring process, and onboarding process. It allowed me to connect easily with my team and others in the office. I loved the different events and the celebration for south Asian heritage month. Made it feel very inclusive.’’ ‘’ LBR has made commendable strides in promoting inclusion throughout the year. The "Diversifying your Network and Inclusion at Work" training for managers has been instrumental in creating awareness and building inclusive leadership. The introduction of specialized training like "Neurodiversity 101" demonstrates the company's commitment to accommodating different perspectives and cognitive styles.’’
We were delighted to host the InterLaw Diversity Forum during Pride month for a Lunch & Learn - the highest-attended L&L yet, with 70+ colleagues (in person and online) showing their support for making LBR a more inclusive workplace.
