🌟 It’s the little things that make a big difference 🌟 We know that great work happens when people feel supported throughout the day. That’s why we keep our kitchen stocked with free snacks for everyone — from fresh fruit and healthier options to a few sweet treats for when you need a pick‑me‑up 🍎🍌🍫 It’s not just about snacks; it’s about keeping the team energised, looked after, and ready to do their best work. At CODE, we believe small touches like this help create a happier, more positive workplace.
CODE Students is proud to support the IWD 2026 Give To Gain campaign. 💜 Our team struck the International Women’s Day Give To Gain pose — hand on heart, hand extended — to show solidarity. We value the strong representation of women across our leadership, and our site includes the former workplace of suffragette Alice Hawkins, whom we honoured by helping fund her statue.
We’re proud to share that our recent CODE Charity Clothes Sale raised £3,000 in support of Women’s Aid Leicestershire and Rainbows Charity. This achievement was only possible thanks to the kindness and involvement of our community—everyone who donated clothing, visited the sale, or volunteered behind the scenes. It was inspiring to see so many people come together to support two organisations doing vital work in our local area. At CODE, giving back is a core part of who we are. We’re committed to creating meaningful opportunities for our team and our wider community to make a difference, and this event was a great reflection of that. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed.
We’re proud to say CODE Fairfax Street has been named a Uhomes 2025 Must Stay Winner. This recognition, driven by the voices of international students themselves, shows the great accommodation we offer, but also highlights the real impact of strong global partnerships. By working closely with forward-thinking operators like Uhomes, we’re able to connect students from around the world with high-quality accommodation that truly supports their experience in the city. We truly believe international collaboration matters — it strengthens trust, raises standards, and contributes to vibrant, inclusive cities. We’re proud of the work we’re doing together and look forward to continuing to elevate the UK student accommodation experience.
To celebrate the start of December, staff have been opening their first couple of windows of their advent calendars that were kindly gifted to them by CODE Claus 🤶🏼🎅🏼 After another busy and exciting year, we're also spreading festive joy to staff and tenants with decorations in our front office and parcel area 🎄 We hope you're enjoying the start of the festivities! 🌟
At CODE, we celebrated Diwali with a vibrant crafting event, embracing culture, creativity, and connection. It showcased our inclusive, community-driven spirit and made clear why CODE is a great place to live and work. We also offered career support to help students progress — blending tradition with growth. ✨
It’s been a fantastic few weeks here at CODE, as we’ve welcomed both new and returning students into our community! For our first move-in weekend, we transformed our communal areas into a pop-up donation space, filling it with pre-loved items donated by students who had moved out earlier this year. After PAT testing, they were good to go! Finding new homes instead of going to waste and saving our new tenants money too! Kindness and generosity made this all possible!
The CODE team loves getting together, and during a busy time of year, we took a well-deserved break from the office and had a wonderful time enjoying tasty food and drinks. It was a great chance to relax and come together as a team.
As the term draws closer to the end, CODE put on an extremely important event offering its tenants career advice, supporting life after University. Our team collaborated with trusted recruitment agencies to coach students on interview techniques and CV development. Both UK and international students found great value in these sessions, prompting us to add more to meet demand! Thank you all; we appreciate your support and look forward to collaborating further.
We're always looking for ways to support the local community. We were delighted to support Samuel Gapara by providing a location for their vital training for the local children's home. Samuel said: "We are incredibly grateful to CODE Accommodation for generously providing a pro bono space for our children’s home staff to receive essential physical intervention training." Thank you, Samuel, for your very kind words and the cupcakes - the team really appreciate them!
