We are thrilled to be working in support of the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Artemis program as a part of Team Draper, bringing both CLPS and other commercial payloads to the far side of the Moon with our APEX 1.0 lander, designed and manufactured in the U.S.!
Congratulations to BLUE ORIGIN, on the successful launch of #NS24. With our payload onboard -- the Draper multi-environment navigator (DMEN) -- we are thrilled to take this next step in testing and advancing vision-based and terrain relative navigation.
Draper was rewarded a $2.2 billion contract to continue the support of the Trident II D5 weapon system while also beginning development on the next generation. Under the award, we will support the mission of the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs to provide credible sea-based strategic deterrence. #USNavy
Draper recently received an award valued at $26 million from the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA). It will be used to advance the development of Draper's tissue chip platform, PREDICT96, and deepen scientific understanding of illness and injury from exposure to SARS-CoV-2, other emerging infectious diseases, and CBRN biothreats.
Draper’s Colon-on-Chip Tissue Model addresses the root cause of inflammatory bowel disease, possibly leading to long-term relief. While most treatments focus solely on reducing inflammation, Draper’s model develops vital replacement epithelial tissue for any damage found in the intestinal tract. Learn more about how this novel solution could impact the future of approximately 1.6 million Americans.
Draper is honored to be on the team for this mission. Courtney Mario, a Draper engineer contributed to the development of the vision-aided autonomous navigation system for OSIRIS-REx which was used to navigate the spacecraft to collect the sample. The system was built by Lockheed Martin Space, Denver, as part of NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s New Frontiers program.
We deepened our commitment to our Naval partners and the Strategic Deterrence Mission with the opening of our new Strategic Enhanced Ground Test Facility (SEGTF) in Riverfront Center, Titusville, Fla. This facility is a representation of our commitment to the nation’s defense, security, and space exploration interests. Proud to partner with: North American Properties, RUSH Construction, Inc., Burns & McDonnell, JRC Integrated Systems, and U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs US Navy.
Every day, our nation’s service members stand ready to engage directly with danger. Chief among them are chemical, biological, radioactive, and nuclear (CBRN) hazards. Draper is working to safeguard our warfighters against deadly exposure to these hazards with the CSIRP platform. Read our latest feature: CSIRP: Going boldly where no human should have to.
When humans dream of traveling beyond our home planet, the big question is how will we get there? Even more important, how will we get home? Explore our latest feature on our GN&C solutions: To the Moon and Back: GN&C for Space Exploration.
Draper is heading back to the moon! This time, “there” is the Schrödinger Basin, a large lunar impact crater near the moon’s south pole. Read our latest feature: Uncovering Secrets on the Far Side of the Moon!
