WashREIT (NYSE: WRE), a value-driven multifamily owner and operator, announced today that it has changed its name and rebranded as Elme Communities, reflecting its ongoing commitment to elevating the value-living experience for its residents. The name change culminates the Company’s transformation into a focused multifamily company, and subsequent geographic expansion into Sunbelt markets. The Company, which has also changed its legal name to Elme Communities, will continue trading on the New York Stock Exchange under its existing ticker symbol until October 20, 2022, when its new ticker symbol, “ELME,” is expected to become effective.
Solar panels going up at 3801 Connecticut We kicked off the installation of solar panels at the Kenmore and 3801 Connecticut in DC. The systems are projected to generate enough electricity to avoid 350,000 kg of greenhouse gas emissions each year, equal to planting over 5,800 trees annually.
WashREIT Promotes Susan Lilly Gerock to Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer Having increased its emphasis on data and technology initiatives as a focused apartment owner and operator, WashREIT (NYSE: WRE) announced that Susan Lilly Gerock, Chief Information Officer, has been promoted to Senior Vice President.
