On Saturday, October 22, FN employees and their friends and families participated in the 32nd 2022 Walk for Life and Famously Hot Pink Marathon + 5K at Segra Park in Columbia, SC. Proceeds from the 2022 event will help fund the latest tool in breast biopsy technology, resulting in less procedure and breast compression time for patients. This year we were Team Margie, walking in honor of our coworker’s sister who is battling breast cancer. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetimes, and it’s important to learn the signs, prevention, and treatment options. Early detection saves lives. This is why FN partners with Prisma health annually to provide on-site, mobile mammography screening services to employees while at work.
FN FAMILY DAY 2022! On September 9th, we hosted our annual Family Day event at Segra Park in Columbia, SC. Employees and their families enjoyed a picnic dinner and a Columbia Fireflies baseball game. On June 21, FN America co-sponsored the South Carolina Sporting Clays Classic hosted by the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF) in partnership with the South Carolina Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus (Caucus). This event brought together sportsmen-legislators, representatives from South Carolina’s hunting, fishing, and recreational shooting industries, and a wide range of conservation partners to enjoy a sporting clays competition and good food and fellowship. The event was held at the The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) Palmetto Shooting Complex in Edgefield, SC. We were excited to support this event that highlights the economic and conservation funding contributions of South Carolina’s sportsmen and women as well as the cultural importance of hunting and fishing to the Palmetto State.
FN America offers a full-time, paid summer internship program to students for practical real-world, career-related experience within a professional setting. This group of 2022 summer interns had a “blast” at the FN range today, with the opportunity to try out FN’s innovative products firsthand!
Each year, in partnership with the HAAS Foundation, FN sponsors the Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) program at Midlands Technical College for high potential employees. We would like to extend our congratulations to FN employee, Jonathan Kim, who successfully completed the program last week and earned his CNC certification!
