As the United Nations upholds sanctioned international days as powerful tools for advocacy, Forest Interactive commemorated the International Day of Education with CSR campaigns in both Malaysia and Indonesia. Aligning with this year’s theme for International Day of Education “Changing Course, Transforming Education”, Forest Interactive was able to create awareness on the role of education in bringing global peace and sustainable development, strengthen the power of education and steer youths towards the digital transformation. The SDGs related to this CSR initiatives are 1, 4, and 10: No Poverty, Quality Education, as well as Reduce Inequalities. Forest Interactive and elfo will pave the way at the 2022 Mobile World Congress (MWC), as they attend and exhibit in-person at Barcelona in Spain from February 28 to March 3, 2022. To amplify Malaysia’s presence at MWC, both companies are also playing host to mobile operators. The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) honored Forest Interactive CEO Johary Mustapha as the Rising Star at the 2021 Mid-Tier Companies (MTC) CEO Summit at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur on December 20, 2021. Johary was also part of the keynote CEO conversation with Chuan Zhen Ko, Group CEO & Co-Founder of Plus Xnergy, and Christina Tee, CEO of Cape EMS Manufacturing, where they led a discussion surrounding Environment, Sustainability, and Governance (ESG), digitalization, as well as business agility.

Forest Interactive Foundation will be hosting this year’s Malaysia Future Leaders School (MFLS) Tier 3 in collaboration with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS). The four-day program comprises various youth development activities for more than 100 students from all over the country.
Reaching out for the second consecutive year after the first #ForestCares initiative last year, Forest Interactive continues its effort to empower the indigenous community at Desa Temuan in Damansara Perdana, Selangor, by extending a helping hand once again to provide support and relief amidst the ongoing pandemic. In September 2021, a total of 147 families in the area received hand sanitizers and face masks, to help them in remaining equipped and protected against the COVID-19 virus.

Additionally, it is also shortlisted as a finalist for the Gender-Inclusive Workplace category. Organized by WeEmpowerAsia, a UN Women program funded by and in partnership with the European Union, and LeadWomen, the award recognizes businesses that champion gender equality and women’s empowerment within their industry, in an effort towards women’s economic empowerment.
Johary Mustapha, CEO of Forest Interactive, recently shared the importance of progressing forward as digital-forward nation through STEM, at a webinar organized by the Nasional STEM Association (NSA). Titled ‘What’s Up with STEM – How Exciting Is It?’, the webinar was held virtually via Microsoft Teams and streamed live on Facebook on October 21. Alongside Johary as a panelist is Prof Dato’ Dr Noraini Idris from University of Malaya.
Forest Interactive partners with Difabel Zone this Batik Day in Indonesia to commemorate batik as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity, a designation given by UNESCO in 2009. To celebrate Indonesia’s Batik Day and uplift employee morale, Forest Interactive held a workshop where talents learned the history and philosophy of batik as well as the importance of preserving it as a form of intangible cultural heritage. #batikday #indonesia
