Wolfsburg / Ingolstadt. 2 September 2021 – CARIAD is breaking new ground in recruiting talented minds in the tech industry: With the joint venture Futurepath, Volkswagen Group's software company is expanding its existing collaboration with the Berlin-based tech start-up expertlead. Futurepath is intended to bring together the best tech experts worldwide in order to implement forward-looking mobility projects at CARIAD across the Group and brands. CARIAD holds 49 percent and expertlead 51 percent of the joint venture. CARIAD already employs around 4,500 people and is developing a uniform, scalable software platform and other software-based technologies for all passenger car brands within the Volkswagen Group.
