The Burton Behr Awards recognizes each candidate, who have received Employee of the Year at their respective building. We are honored to have these astounding employees as part of our organization, congratulations to all nominees!
Our office has a 25 year standing tradition of dressing in a selected theme and traveling to our different locations in our network to deliver goodies to staff & residents, this years theme was The Wizard of Oz! Residents love to see us parade through the halls and visit their rooms in costume, their smiles and laughter is what has made this tradition last so long 💙💚
Generations' very own, Louise Bergthold, was recently featured in an article by the Health Care Counsel of Illinois ( HCCI) Read below! On this International Women's Day, we are recognizing a woman who has dedicated almost 40 years to the long-term care industry, Louise Bergthold! For the last 30 years, Louise has been employed by Generations Healthcare Network and she currently serves as a clinical board member. Prior to joining the Generations’ family, she worked at IDPH for nine years where she began as a nurse surveyor and was later promoted to a supervisor of the Chicago office. Louise says positively impacting the lives of elderly residents brings her immeasurable joy and is her life's calling. Louise's advice for others in the profession is to lead by example, remember there is no job beneath you, always lend a hand, anticipate what will happen next so you are prepared, be organized, and always put the residents first. We salute Louise for her trailblazing leadership in the skilled nursing industry and the passion she brings to her job each day!
