A Story of Success and Support In a heartwarming feature, we introduce Ngoc Nguyen, a proud new U.S. citizen and valued GHA team member. Alongside her resident mentor, Sandy Connolly, and Valerie Burke from the Goodwin Living Foundation, Ngoc shares her inspiring experience with the Citizenship Program. This narrative shines a light on the program's profound impact, not just in navigating the citizenship process but in fostering a supportive network that celebrates every milestone. Empowering Dreams Through the Citizenship Program The Goodwin Living Citizenship Program, envisioned by a compassionate resident and bolstered by the foundation's donors, offers a lifeline to team members pursuing U.S. citizenship or DACA renewal. Eligible full-time and part-time team members, after six months with us, can apply for grants covering their application fees. Moreover, the program enriches this journey with tutoring assistance provided by our resident volunteers, bridging gaps and building bonds within our community.

The Goodwin House mission has grown over the course of our 55 years. Thanks to you and all those before you who chose to be part of our faith-based not-for-profit senior living and health care services organization, we have developed new services and programs to help more older adults thrive and find purpose. Together, we touch the lives of thousands every day. And together, we are evolving.
We've been working towards this goal for nearly 18 months. More than 60% of staff have participated in SAGECare training, and it is now part of our onboarding program. We're SAGECare Certified with Gold Level Status.

GHI Named Top Washington-Area Workplace by The Washington Post On Thursday, June 20, we received news that GHI was recognized as a 2019 Top Workplace by The Washington Post. We ranked seventh in the “large companies” category, which includes organizations that employ 500 or more employees.
