At GreenShield, giving back is part of who we are. 💚 This past month our teams rolled up their sleeves and made a real impact through incredible volunteer events: 🥓 Chef for the Day at Youth Without Shelter – Served hot breakfasts and donated food items to young people facing homelessness in Toronto. 🥕 Food Prep & Donation Sorting with UHC – Helped sort, pack, and organize food donations to support local hunger relief efforts in Windsor and Essex County. 🎁 Sparky’s Toy Drive with Windsor Firefighters – Preparing nearly 200 toy bags to help bring joy to over 3,000 children this holdiday season. In collaboration with The Black Women's Institute for Health - Health For All Black Women, we assembled over a hundred care kits, providing essential hygiene products and self-care items to Black mothers in their Mothering Minds program. These kits from Kits For A Cause help meet the immediate needs of Black women, many of whom face barriers to accessing these necessities. Thank you to all of our volunteers for assembling these kits. Our actions continue to impact Canadians, in pursuit of #BetterHealthForAll.
Smiling from the inside and out. We recently toured the Université Laval Faculty of Dental Medicine Clinique ACCES. GreenShield Cares has committed $750,000 over two years to provide free oral health care to underserved and equity-seeking communities in Greater Quebec City. Previously open two months a year, Clinique ACCES can now operate year-round because of our collaborative partnership with Université Laval. Thank you to all who were there to celebrate the clinic opening.
When purpose meets passion and performance on the court. 🏀 That’s a wrap on the 2024 GreenShield U SPORTS Final 8 Men’s Basketball Championships. Watching so many talented student-athletes play their hearts out inspired not only us but also our guests from Motivaction Jeunesse, an organization that provides pathways for youth from equity-seeking communities to participate in sports. Congratulations to the Rouge et Or de l'Université Laval — winners of the W.P. McGee Trophy — and all the teams that competed and made an indelible mark in varsity basketball. Thank you to Université Laval for hosting this incredible event.

The program will provide up to 550 clients with three free hours of virtual therapy through GreenShield Health, leveraging its unique personalized matching tool to connect entrepreneurs with the therapist best suited to their needs, all from the comfort of home.
