When Darlene Morse stops by the grocery store on her way home from work, she’s often asked about the title on her name badge: hospice aide. “It’s usually when I’m checking out. Somebody in line will stop me and say, ‘My loved one was on hospice, and all of you are angels,’” Darlene says. “They always thank me for the care we provide.” Here, she shares how HopeHealth’s hospice aides make a difference for patients and families, and what this work means to her personally.
It was an incredible honor to meet eighth-grader Alexa of North Providence this week! She contacted Cuddles of Hope Foundation to run a Christmas Toy Drive for children whose loved ones are being cared for by HopeHealth. Alexa did this in honor of her best friend's mom, who recently passed on our service. Alexa's donations are being delivered this week to our PediPal kids, and to children whose loved ones are being cared for at the Hulitar Hospice Center. Warm thanks to Alexa and Amy Antone of Cuddles of Hope Foundation for making such a difference!
