Every two years, JMPers from around the world come together in Cary, NC, for our global company reunion. While we thrive in a flexible, hybrid work environment, we know there's something truly special about connecting face to face. These gatherings help us celebrate our wins, strengthen cross-cultural collaboration, and reinforce the values that define who we are. Our most recent reunion was a week filled with inspiration, team building, and a whole lot of JMP spirit 💙 — a powerful reminder that people are at the heart of everything we do. Looking to join a company that values both flexibility and connection? Come be a part of JMP.
A winning sales incentive program If you’re in sales, keep reading. If not, consider yourself warned. You may want to change careers after reading. At JMP, we know that to hire the best salespeople, to keep them motivated, and to reward teamwork, we need to create an annual experience that people talk about for years. It’s that time of year. Our top sales performers are currently picking adventures for a Koh Samui, Thailand, trip they’ll take in September. At JMP, building relationships is front and center in everything we do. When we launched the Elite Sales Circle program, our CEO said that in addition to simply increasing competition, he wanted to foster cooperation across territories, across geographies, and across accounts. So we put our naturally competitive salespeople together on neutral ground. We put them in adventurous situations that let them drop their guard to focus on more important things like zip lines, whitewater rapids, glistening glaciars. It's in these settings that bonds are built, trust is formed, and friendships are forged. No matter which languages our winners speak, this trip translates into a motivated, caring, and customer-focused salesforce. So while our sales pros think JMP is rewarding them, JMP is the real winner. Looking for a sales position with JMP? Start your search at www.jmp.com/careers.
Every Day is Women's Day at JMP Earlier this month, the world celebrated International Women’s Day. At JMP, we did too. But it didn’t look all that different from any other day. At JMP, women don’t just get a seat at the table, they are often the ones running the meetings, analyzing the data, writing the code...you get the idea. About half of JMP’s employee base and management identify as female. And they thrive in every business unit and in each regional office. But it’s not just inside the company that women get a voice. Lucy Cooke gave the closing keynote at the company’s March 2024 Discovery Summit Europe statistical conference. The zoologist, broadcaster, and New York Times best-selling author said Charles Darwin would have done well to take in the benefits of diversity and recognize the contributions of females of all species. “Darwin suffered from a chronic case of confirmation bias,” Cooke said. He saw the Victorian ideal of demure, submissive women as the female norm...Darwin was blinded by his own experience.” JMP appreciates Cooke’s research and her conclusions, and agrees that science – and business – are better when decision makers come from diverse backgrounds.
