We've been awarded the FEED contract for ExxonMobil's large-scale plastic waste advanced recycling programme.♻️ Building upon our successful design for the pilot unit in Baytown, Texas, we have now been entrusted to provide FEED services for new units across a potential seven additional sites. Kent was chosen as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management services provider for the pilot unit in Baytown, Texas. This facility now stands as one of the largest advanced recycling centres in North America and is already in operation.
We were awarded a three-year multi-site master services agreement with TotalEnergies. Our engineering scope spans from feasibility studies to pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed engineering to the Port Arthur Platform, La Porte Plant in Texas, the Carville Plant in Louisiana – one of the world's largest polystyrene facilities, and Bayport Polymers LLC's Ethane Cracker in Texas.
With offshore wind emerging as a pivotal source of renewable power, the US is on the cusp of becoming a leader in OSW energy production. However, ensuring the supply chain grows to be fit for purpose requires greater collaboration and better coordination at every level, by underpinning what has worked well, and not so well, elsewhere in the world. On the occasion of #IPF2023, our US Offshore Wind Market Leader, Andy Malpas, shares his insights with Windpower Engineering & Development regarding the efforts already made in Europe and outlines what needs to be done to ensure efficient delivery of OSW energy in the US.
