“My job is like a detective, I investigate when something is not looking right, tracking it down to the root of the problem and coming up with a solution. “I love the variance of data projects I can get my hands on here! It can be as small as improving dashboard user experience, to tackling business problems.” Say hello to Marketing Data Analyst Minnie Wu, in our latest people insight story! https://www.jobs.moneysupermarketgroup.com/blogarticle/people-insight-stories-minnie-wu
Over the weekend we proudly joined forces with Campaign Against Living Miserably to celebrate love, unity, and diversity in the Manchester Pride Parade 2023 🌈
As part of our Summer Party celebrations earlier this month, we ran a London Eye fundraiser for Campaign Against Living Miserably. These are just some of the colleagues who kindly donated and secured a spot to get arguably the best views over London, and even into the venue below where our party was still going strong!
Helping households save money is our mission, and we’re celebrating our customers who have saved an incredible £1 billion on their bills since May 2022! To find out more about Mission £1 Billion and to take our quiz with tips to help you look after your financial wellbeing, visit https://lnkd.in/eu-aKGM7 For every completed quiz, we’ll donate £1 to our charity partner Campaign Against Living Miserably.
"I moved into Finance, then into Commercial. This is where it changed for me. My children were both in full time school, and it was time for me to focus on my career and what I wanted to achieve. "Through hard work, support from the business, and managers and colleagues who have inspired me, I have been fortunate to progress on a career path I’ve loved, taking me into my current role today as General Manager for the Money vertical." Our mission is to help households save money, something we’re incredibly passionate about and it drives everything we do. So it makes sense that we’d want to support the households closest to us, those of our own Moneysupermarket Group colleagues. That’s why between noon today and noon tomorrow, every colleague is invited to take part in The Big Money Workshop – an event designed to give everyone the time, space, and resources they need to make sure they have their finances in the best possible position. There will be a range of sessions to choose from, led by external and internal experts alike, including Campaign Against Living Miserably, Quidco and MoneySavingExpert.com to name a few. With the opportunity to speak directly to financial experts on a number of matters including, pensions, wills, savings and more. But because no two people are the same, colleagues will get to decide how best to spend this time and we’ll give them the freedom to do so. This is us living our purpose, pressing pause, and giving colleagues time back to spend on supporting their own financial wellbeing.
Last week, Rock and pop covers band The Thrillers played their socks off to raise an incredible £8.6k for our charity partner Campaign Against Living Miserably - that’s 1075 chances to save a person’s life. Thank you to our colleague Marianna Maniatakis who organised the event and sang in the band!
"I think learning to be a leader has parallels with learning to be a parent, there are things you experienced growing up that you think 'I will never do that to my kids', or 'I absolutely want to be that kind of parent or make sure my kids get those experiences'. I’ve been really privileged to work with some amazingly talented people (and in fairness, some not so much…) and I’ve learned from and been inspired by both camps." Horse-riding, paddleboarding, gardening, dog-walking, cycling... Just some of the ways colleagues spent their additional Wellbeing Hour within working hours for Mental Health Awareness Week. We encouraged colleagues to think about what helped support their mental health and share it with others too.
Last month we were nominated for the Diversifying Group FTSE Board of the Year Award - this week we're thrilled to announce we've officially made the shortlist! Congratulations to all the shortlisted organisations for taking proactive steps to fight for inclusion and the voices of traditionally marginalised groups to be heard. We can't wait for the inaugural awards ceremony in May!
