Set to welcome 100th apprentice!
For #NAW2021 we've spoken to two of our newest apprentices to ask them how they're getting on, what they enjoy the most and what attracted them to our programme. Meet Ryan Fry, Apprentice Technician, and Elise Taylor, Contact Centre Apprentice, as they begin their apprenticeships.
During the course of this year we'll introduce you to some 'day in the life' anecdotes from various members of staff, to give you a taste of what working for Markerstudy is like: ALEX EDWARDS Technical Trainer, TP Technical Training, Group Claims What does a typical work day look like for you? "My role can be quite varied, so what happens from one day to the next can change substantially. On days where I’m not providing training I might be reviewing documents/training packs to make sure they are the best they can be or updating out of date information or making new material for future training. Otherwise I will be preparing for training which will include organising documents for the trainees and myself, where we need to be and when." What do you enjoy most about your role? "How varied it can be from day to day and that I get to talk to and meet new people. I also really enjoy seeing people grow into their role after training; often seeing people who were not confident at all about what they were learning months later confidently helping others, is really fulfilling."

"Each day the focus for the team is ensuring our customer service is where it needs to be. My senior team meet each morning where we plan our activities, share resources and ensure we are setting clear direction for our teams ensuring available MI is reviewed to ensure we are hitting our SLAs and investigating any concerns. I will also be spending time speaking to my manager and the second claims manager to ensure all areas are aligned and priorities set. It’s fair to say the team is not afraid to take decisions and enjoy exploring new ideas and processes. Markerstudy encourages creativity and ideas that will help move the business forward. In my role I’ll be expected to contribute new ideas and we are always looking to the team to assist us in these pursuits and they are encouraged and empowered to do so."
