Cleaning House: How Music Tribe Reinvented Its Digital Footprint See how Uli Behringer took a step back and put Music Tribe in its best shape to date all through the power of data.
Microsoft Showcases Music Tribe at APAC Innovators Forum Over only two years we migrated 18 legacy applications to MS - all in one Big Bang, an exercise that is certainly not for the faint-hearted. Today, Music Tribe today is 100% cloud based as well as paperless, in line with our sustainability value. Satya congratulated us for this outstanding achievement and we all should be very proud of the recognition we received from the iconic MS CEO. He later shared our journey in his Key Note speech in front of leading company representatives and members of the press. Music Tribe is considered one of the most regarded companies at MS due our speed and depth of transformation, early adoptions and the overall commitment to MS’s vision. We were the very first company in APAC that implemented Windows365 on Azure.
There's a Musician in Every Human Being We work hard. Together, for the bigger picture - but also individually, daily, and in our respective departments and roles. Tooling, testing, filming, manufacturing, building, research and meetings… Every day we’re confronted with the ‘what’. But taking a step back we’re reminded not of the ‘what’, but of the ‘why’. Why do we do what we do? Well, we felt it was time for a grateful reminder. All we do, feeds into the ‘why’, no matter the person or place. We remind ourselves: There’s a Musician in Every Human Being Thank you all Tribers for everything you do, ultimately bringing joy and creativity to each other and thousands around the globe.
Two of the audio industry’s most innovative and forward-thinking organisations have united, with manufacturing and distribution giant, Music Tribe, announcing the acquisition of multi-award winning Aston Microphones, the UK’s only mainstream mic brand.
In 2019, Music Tribe went on a disruptive journey to rediscover its purpose and build a sustainable future. The company went on an “extreme lean” exercise, where it eliminated all data centers, physical servers, legacy applications and over 100 terabytes of outdated and redundant data. Today, Music Tribe is completely IT-free and runs entirely on Azure. By eliminating all waste, Tribers (Music Tribe employees), can now spend more time gaining new skills with Viva Learning. This radical change also provided them with more time for customer engagement, which follows the company’s “customer and digital obsession” mission. "All our files are now accurate, organized and stored on Microsoft 365 SharePoint. Our Tribers are very happy that information can now be found in a heartbeat as all repositories are centralized and accessible through self-service." - Uli Behringer: Customer Experience Obsessor (CEO), Music Tribe

MUSIC TRIBE SUPPORTS MUSICIANS WITHOUT BORDERS Generous US $ 100,000 donation will bring music to hundreds of children in post-conflict regions around the world. Jimi Hendrix once said: “If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music.” In places where armed conflict has torn the fabric of society, music has the unique ability to bring people together and restore connections. Every musician, every music lover and everyone working to create, produce and share music understands the connecting force of music. Since our founding in 1999, musicians around the world have joined our projects and shared their expertise, reaching thousands of children, youth, women and other people struggling with the aftermath of war. Today, Musicians Without Borders is honored to receive a wonderful gift from a major player in the global music industry. In honor of the 60th birthday of its CEO, Uli Behringer, Music Tribe has donated US $ 100,000 in support of our music projects around the world.
