Thank you to everyone who participated in the Mill Race Marathon this weekend in Columbus, IN. We’re proud to celebrate 10 years as a Diamond Sponsor! We kicked things off with a family BBQ on Friday evening and watched the always entertaining Kids Fun Run. Gaby Gallegos, VP of Quality, and Mark Gagnier, VP of Program Management, presented the Columbus team with a 2022 Cummins Quality Excellence Award. And, some hearty Optimas volunteers were at Race HQ by 5 a.m. Saturday to pass out race packets to runners hoping to qualify for the Boston Marathon. It was a true marathon of events!

Our summer internship program is officially concluding this week and we are proud to share the successes of these dedicated minds. Our Data Analytics interns evaluates logistics performance (KPIs) to streamline operations and reduce costs. The Quality interns analyzed tool failures and altered designs to improve quality and consistency, ensuring you get high-quality parts. Our Supply Chain intern examined demand planning processes to improved forecast accuracy, lower freight costs, and increase supplier coordination to make sure our customers get the parts they need when they need them. Our Recruiting Intern created and launched Optimas' DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) Statement and Policy to continue Optimas' people-centered mission. Thank you to all our interns for their hard work and best of luck to them in their bright futures!
