🌟 Another insightful day with the community in the books! Thanks to everyone who joined us for Percona.Connect in Bangalore! We had discussions around how enterprises are building applications around open source databases, and had thoughtful conversations about use cases and current trends. 👏 A big thank you to all our speakers: Dharmendra Goyal of LinkedIn, jitesh nair of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Tushar Gawande of Infosys, Anjaneya Raju S. of PhonePe, and Perconains Balkrishna Basisthnarayan, Ashish Kumar Mehra, and Sameer Kumar. We'll see you around the globe in 2026 at many more Percona.Connect events, free for the community and full of expert insights! 🌍
London, Hockey, and Taco Bell! 💂 🏒🌮 What a great time for events with the community! Last week, our experts gathered with the community for Percona.Connect London! Thanks to everyone who came out for insightful open source and database conversations. This week, we packed a box at the Vegas Golden Knights vs. Chicago Blackhawks game with leaders pushing open source forward. Then we joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Valkey to take over a Taco Bell on the Las Vegas strip for an AWS re:Invent afterparty! Thanks to all the builders, the maintainers, the contributors, the curious, and especially those who are 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙞𝙣 on open source for joining our community at these recent events!
⚔️ Our journey through #KubeCon + #CloudNativeCon North America was nothing short of an epic adventure! We crossed the halls like a fellowship, handed out swag worthy of dwarven craftsmanship, met incredible allies along the way, and shared stories from our favourite realms—open source, Kubernetes, and databases. Many brave souls joined us for booth-side chess battles and tried their luck in our raffles for precious treasures. ⭐ 🧙♂️ To everyone who visited our booth on this quest: you have our thanks (and our axe). Until next time, travellers.
We had a great time at Percona.Connect in New Delhi, where the open source database community came together for insightful sessions and real-world stories. Yesterday, we brought open source and high performance together—both on and off the track. 😉 At Open Source Unlocked – From Redis to Valkey, we dove into migration strategies, cost optimization, and how Amazon Web Services (AWS) databases power Valkey and GenAI innovation. 🏎️ Then at F1 Arcade Boston, the Valkey conversation continued—this time while racing for the leaderboard. Huge thank you to everyone who joined us. Let's keep the open source conversations going. Catch our team at these upcoming events: 💥 Nov 10-13 — Kubecon North America 2025, Atlanta 💥 Nov 19 — Percona.Connect, Virtual 💥 Dec 2 —Big Plays, Big Conversations: Hockey Night with Percona, Las Vegas

🧐 Can the opportunity to freely travel keep employees more motivated and engaged in their work? According to Perconian Silvia Gudino, it can and does! "Since its founding in 2006, Percona has always been a remote company. The reason? It’s a tech company that knows how to use technology effectively and doesn’t want to have geography limit its talent pool," says CEO Ann Schlemmer. This recent HR Dive article highlights her remote work experience from 5 countries in one year, how it drives her working ethic and production, and what the benefits of a proper work-life balance can be.
