Discussing her new role Marcelle said: "This is a particularly challenging time for secondary care as we emerge out of the pandemic and start recovering our elective activity to meet the needs of our patients. We are delighted to announce that this week our Integrated Urgent Care (#IUC) team, which runs services such as #111 and out-of-hours, has achieved two accolades at the ECCCSA (European Contact Centre & Customer Service Awards). We won gold for the Responding in a Crisis: Supporting Colleagues award and silver for the Responding in a Crisis: Supporting Customers award, and were shortlisted in the final for two other awards – Responding in a Crisis: Best Partnership Solution, and Responding in a Crisis: Providing Leadership. Kevin Brown, Integrated Urgent Care Director at Practice Plus Group and who led the response, commented: “These awards are the most prestigious in Europe for the industry and simply being a finalist is a huge testimony to everyone in every role who played any part in the response to the first wave of COVID-19. A gold award for our support to colleagues and a silver award for our patients is an awesome team achievement." To read the full story click on the link below.
HMP Huntercombe shortlisted for award! Congratulations to our fantastic healthcare team at HMP Huntercombe! Laura, Head of Healthcare at HMP Huntercombe, can tell us a bit more: "My team and I are incredibly proud to have been shortlisted in the 2021 BAME Health & Care Awards. We have been shortlisted, as a team, in the Health and Wellbeing Advocate category for the work that we do with the men in our care at the prison. In our inspection last year the inspector came to me and said the nicest thing, that she found within out team that it was obvious how much they care, and it really is," We wish you luck HMP Huntercombe, we're rooting for you!
