Thank you to the Quilter colleagues who gathered together to celebrate Pride Month, better their understanding of LGBT+ identities and learn more about the history of the Pride movement. Members of our Together With Pride network arranged an event which was open to all at our Southampton office. Teams from across the UK, from London to Newcastle, joined virtually too for an excellent presentation from LGBT Great's Alex Hoare. COO Karin Cook and Head of Inclusion, Diversity & Talent Acquisition, Tosin James-Odukoya, joined the panel, taking questions about Quilter's work to create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Well done to the team from Quilter Private Client Advisers' London office who recently volunteered time at Lewisham Hospital. The day spent working as part of a garden project undertaken by the Royal Horticultural Society, for the benefit of both staff and patients, was arranged in memory of their late colleague, paraplanner Gordan Ristic.
We were delighted to gather together people from across Quilter at our London office earlier this month for an awards event recognising their exceptional contribution to the business. Nominated by their fellow employees, the Quilter Awards celebrate those who have gone above and beyond in their roles, embodying our 'Dependable, Pioneering and Stronger Together' values. A special 'Spirit of Quilter' category goes to someone who shows all three in everything they do, every day. Chief Executive Paul Feeney was joined by HR Director, Penny Cole; COO, Karin Cook; Quilter Cheviot Ltd CEO, Andy McGlone; and Quilter Investment Platform and Quilter Investors CEO, Steven Levin. Together, they presented awards to our 2020 and 2021 winners and runners-up. Congratulations to all of those who received awards and a huge thank you for all you do for Quilter!
We welcome Neeta Atkar to Quilter as a Non-executive Director and Chair of the Board Risk Committee. Neeta has a deep understanding of risk and regulation having spent her executive career working at the Bank of England and the Financial Services Authority before taking on roles in the financial services industry with Andersen Consulting, Abbey National, Royal & Sun Alliance, Lloyds Banking Group and TSB Bank where she was the Chief Risk Officer.
