As of today, we have no patients or staff in any of our facilities that have tested positive for the virus. This week the Ohio Department of Health conducted infection control inspections at all of our skilled nursing facilities. A review was completed of our policies and procedures related to infection prevention and control, as well as a site visit to ensure that our staff was incorporating best practices into their daily routines. We are very pleased to report that we were found to be in substantial compliance with state and federal regulations and received no deficiencies at any of our buildings. Family visitation in skilled nursing facilities is still prohibited at this time. Dr. Amy Acton, former Director of Health, allowed visitation at assisted living facilities this week with specific guidance. Outside visitation began on June 8th at The Belvedere of Westlake at scheduled times with screening, masks, and social distancing measures in place. Please contact Susan at The Belvedere to learn more about scheduling an in-person visit.
As of today, we have no patients or staff in any of our facilities testing positive for the virus. We appreciate the guidance from the Ashtabula County Health Department in helping us to control an outbreak at Rae-Ann Geneva. We want to commend all of our staff who have worked tirelessly during this pandemic. They are truly healthcare heroes who place the needs of the patients first. We continue to monitor the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) to ensure that we are using recommended best practices. The State of Ohio has now ordered that all skilled nursing facility staff be tested and we are awaiting direction as to when and how often this will occur. Family visitation in the nursing facilities is still prohibited but Director of Health, Dr. Amy Acton, has now allowed visitation at assisted living facilities beginning June 8th. Visitation at The Belvedere of Westlake will be allowed outside the facility at scheduled times with masks and social distancing.
