Pittsburgh, PA - Owners, Todd Dominick and John Sabatos, announced they were selling the company to a highly qualified and respected team in Pittsburgh...The employees of Rycon Construction. We are proud to announce, Rycon is officially an employee- owned company! Todd Dominick and Bill Taylor founded the company 29 years ago, in 1989. In 2011, when Bill retired, John Sabatos returned to the company and filled Bill's role as President and COO. With their leadership and guidance, Todd, Bill, and John have grown Rycon into one of the most successful construction firms in Pittsburgh with over 350 employees across four offices in four states. At a company-wide meeting on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, Todd and John announced that Rycon is now an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) company. When considering the ownership succession, their first thought was the employees. Who better to own the company, than the people themselves who have contributed to the success and will help carry on the legacy of what has been built.
