Last month we celebrated the end of the 1-year Handineo program dedicated to disability inclusion. We are proud to have been a part of this program and realize the importance of awareness and communication from the start. This foundation allowed us to build impactful initiatives, including: 👉 Appointment of our disability advisor who stepped into her role with care and passion. 👉 Ongoing training of our People team and managers on disability inclusion, ensuring our leadership is well-equipped to support diverse needs. 👉 Release of our disability video, featuring our VP Product & CSR sponsor explaining our commitment to disability inclusion. We’re excited to share our recent initiative aimed at fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace. We've introduced quarterly Talk2Connect sessions, which are internal workshops designed to facilitate respectful conversations surrounding diversity and inclusion. These gatherings offer a safe environment for Shippians to ask questions, exchange experiences, and learn from one another. Our most recent session, focused on gender equity, took place last Friday. During this session, our keynote speaker Daria Sainani, Head of Marketing, dived into crucial topics, such as vulnerability, challenges, allyship, motherhood, mentorship, and best practices in the workplace. Our Shippians not only participated in meaningful conversations, but we also shared their experiences and concrete actions to implement to further enhance our inclusive work environment 💜.
