We’re celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by spotlighting the voices and contributions of the Hispanic community at Tend. First up? Diana, a hygienist at our Park Slope studio. What does your culture mean to you? To me, my Mexican culture signifies a set of hard-working and resilient group of people. How do you celebrate your cultural heritage? By keeping our traditions alive. For example, participating in community activities, supporting Hispanic-owned businesses, and continuously growing to eventually pass knowledge onto the next generation. What are some of your favorite traditions from your culture? The December celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe — religion is deeply-rooted in our culture and encouraged since birth.

We’re continuing to celebrate #Pride with some spotlights of #TeamTend. This time, we’d love to introduce you to Sable, Dental Assistant at UWS:. What does it mean to you that Tend is celebrating Pride Month? It means that moving forward is absolutely possible. That if as a whole, they can learn to recognize our community, live and work with them, and ultimately accept that our lifestyles are not the singular thing that defines who we are, but is what I like to call "Our Garnish"; that it is possible amongst the masses. I like to remain optimistic in the Spirit of humans, especially during these extremely trying times.
