In partnership with Education Through Music and the City of New York, we hosted a two-hour activation to celebrate and generate awareness around the International Day of the Girl 2023. We introduced aspiring high school students to impactful women in the music industry: Andreea Gleeson (CEO, TuneCore), Erica Clayton (VP Artist Support & Operations, TuneCore), Lisa J. Robinson (Downtown Music Holdings), Maureen Ochs (Spotify), AdELA (Singer, Songwriter, Rapper) & Ms Madli (Composer, Producer). Lisa, Mo, AdELA and Madli spoke about their journeys, their rises in the music industry, and how they see their roles in the greater landscape of music. The event finished with a stellar show from TuneCore Artist Blessing Love and her dancers as they performed Blessing’s hit single, “I’m That Way.” At TuneCore, we aim to be a leader in the music & tech space when it comes to inspiring the future generation of female artists and industry professionals.
