We are accelerating our entry into building automation software (BAS) with the acquisition of Riptide IO, an 8-year-old startup based in Santa Barbara, Calif. The market for BAS typically focuses on very large buildings over 200,000 square feet. Riptide specializes in BAS for buildings of all sizes, and its open platform vastly enhances our Smart Motor System offerings. Nordstrom, Fifth Third Bank, and other businesses manage more than 5 million square feet with Riptide’s solution. All of Riptide’s founders and employees have joined Turntide. We’re excited to serve and grow their customer base, and to integrate and further develop the Riptide platform.
