Taking steps forward 🔛 As with many stories, Dimitris N. Kavallieros' story is far from straightforward. His passion for aeronautics as a teenager, led him to study aeronautical engineering and pursue an exciting career as an Air Force officer. ✈ Looking for a new challenge, back in 2008, he made a drastic career change joining Quest Group and the ICT business. After working for a while for the Defence and Homeland Security business development team, Dimitris joined Uni Systems and the Public BU as a Sector Sales Manager. His strong interest in International Business allowed for his transition to our International BU for which he is still working today. Change and adaptability 🧩 Even though Dimitris’ background was slightly unusual for the ICT sector, the company and his colleagues fully supported his career transition plans. Uni Systems nurtured his work-ethic and range of experiences and invested in his professional growth. Together with the drastic career change, he also had to change as a person. His experience at Uni Systems has helped Dimitris discover and unleash his full potential, achieve the goals he has set, kept him motivated and made him a better version of himself in his personal and professional life. As the main project contractor, Uni Systems embraced the museum's vision to offer an enhanced visitor experience when exploring the unique collections, supported by cutting-edge multimedia tools and interconnected services.
We are working towards creating a more secure and resilient European digital landscape! Great news are just in : Uni Systems is extending its successful cooperation with European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), and has been awarded 21 framework service contracts for the implementation of the “Cybersecurity Support Action” in 20 EU Member States. 🔐 With the implementation of this EU wide cybersecurity program, European countries are getting prepared to effectively respond to large-scale cybersecurity incidents or crises. As Nikos Psimogiannos stated: "We are committed to join forces with ENISA and the pertinent national top expert teams of the Member States to bolster the EU cybersecurity facilities, ultimately safeguarding critical infrastructure and protecting citizens from digital threats”. We are excited to share that soon the main gateway to Greece, thus Athens International Airport, will transform its digital presence thanks to a project we are working on with our partners Linakis.digital. ✈ Coming up, the implementation of AIA's upgraded website coupled with an e-parking application, running on a common platform, is expected to improve the overall travel experience for the millions of visitors, serving as the central point of contact and responding to their personalized needs. 📱 Our consortium thanks AIA for the opportunity and as Panayiotis Cheliotis stated, "the emblematic project of transforming AIA’s digital presence is an honor and at the same time a great responsibility for us and we are strongly committed to its unparalleled success."
