Throwback Thursday to Bring Your Kid to Work Day in April! We loved welcoming 135 kids to the office and giving them a glimpse into the work their parents do every day. It was a proud moment for so many of our team members to share what makes their work meaningful. The kids got to learn from our incredible clinicians, with activities like nursing demos, wound stitch removal, PT exercises, and a few fun games along the way. A big thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a special one.
As we look back on Social Work Month, we’re reflecting on the impact of our social workers across VNS Health. Every day, they support people through some of the most challenging moments in their healthcare journeys — helping them navigate a complex system, coordinating care, and connecting them to critical resources in their communities. From behavioral health and hospice to home care and health plan teams, social workers are part of nearly every corner of VNS Health, and their impact is felt across the organization. These photos capture just a small glimpse of the appreciation and connection shared throughout the month. We’re grateful for the care, compassion, and dedication they bring every day.
At VNS Health, we believe growth should be part of every stage of your career. Over the past several months, leaders from across VNS Health stepped out of their day-to-day roles and into something different — a leadership development experience designed to stretch their skills, challenge their thinking, and build meaningful connections across teams. Through interactive learning, coaching, assessments, site visits, and honest conversations, they created space to reflect, grow, and lead with greater impact. Leadership growth doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when you make room for it. We’re proud of this cohort and excited to see how their growth continues to ripple across our teams and the communities we serve. Congratulations to our second Leadership Unlocked graduates!
We recently celebrated the graduation of first-time mothers and their toddlers from our VNS Health Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) program — a meaningful milestone for families and the nurses who support them. NFP is a free program that pairs first-time parents with a VNS Health registered nurse, beginning in early pregnancy through a child’s second birthday. The goal is to support healthy pregnancies, strong parent-child relationships, and long-term success for families. Moments like this reflect the heart of our mission — supporting New Yorkers at critical moments in their lives, and empowering families with the care, education, and resources they need to thrive.
We’re proud to share that Crain’s New York Business has named VNS Health one of the Best Places to Work in NYC for 2025! This recognition is especially meaningful because it’s based on feedback from our employees through Crain’s independent survey on workplace culture, technology, and benefits. It’s a true reflection of the supportive, mission-driven environment we’ve built together. Thank you to every team member whose passion and commitment made this possible!

A mental health crisis can be frightening for all parties involved, especially when children experience them. Many people don’t know where to turn to when a loved one is experiencing a crisis. VNS Health’s Children’s Mobile Crisis Team in the Bronx is trained to support children and their families. Thanks to team members like Gabby P., program assistant, they can get the help they need.
