How eAccountable Harnesses the Power of Direct Response Marketing to Drive Business Growth These words from marketing legend David Ogilvy, describe why “Direct Response Advertising” makes an impact where “General Advertising” does not. You might be wondering: What is Direct Response Advertising? Direct Response Advertising is a specific type of advertising that encourages an immediate and trackable response from the audience. The primary goal of direct response advertising is a “call to action”: to prompt the viewer, listener, or reader to take a specific action, such as making a purchase, requesting more information, signing up for a newsletter, or contacting the advertiser directly. This form of advertising is different from “general advertising”, which aims to build brand awareness and may not have a direct call to action. David Ogilvy, a highly influential advertising executive and pioneer in the advertising industry, made a lasting impact on the field with his pioneering of Direct Response Advertising. His words, captured in this video still resonate today and serve as a powerful foundation for eAccountable’s approach to growing businesses. C = 4m + 3v + 2(i-f) - 2a …Maybe not the most intuitive way to start a LinkedIn post, but bear with us a sec 💡 This equation is the MECLABS Institute conversion heuristic. Our President @Mike McFadden uses it regularly to help clients improve conversion rate. With a little explanation, the heuristic becomes immediately more approachable. C = 4m + 3v + 2(i-f) - 2a "Wherein, the probability of Conversion (C) is dependent upon visitor Motivation (m), force of the Value Proposition (v), presence of Friction (f) & Anxiety (a) in the process, and Incentive (i) offsetting Friction that cannot be eliminated." This heuristic can help us work out: 🤔 What motivates consumers to visit your site? 💎 How good is your value proposition? 🐌 Is there a source of friction on your site? (site speed, poor navigation, too many pop-ups) 🖱 Do you offer incentives that encourage people to convert now? 😨 Finally, what anxiety do site visitors have that would discourage them from converting? For our February Employee Spotlight, we are celebrating the legendary Rebecca Quirk, who has made a tremendous impact on our Amazon team since joining one year ago. In her own words, here's a little bit about her! Tell us about yourself! I fully live up to my last name. I’m a very quirky person! At any time you may find me taking classes on local lore at Denver History Museum, hiking a new-to-me trail with my dog Kelso, joining my wife for a night of dancing or tasting Colorado’s fantastic brews, exploring local bookstores with my favorite local bookstagramers, or convincing someone to join me for a pickleball game. How did you get into digital marketing? It was a complete fluke. I started my career in nonprofit and creative arts, focusing on community building and building sets in theaters. As time went on, I was slowly pushed by my employers to interact with donors and patrons more and more. In order to be a better fundraiser and advocate, I sought out additional books and classes on business. As time went on, my career evolved towards managing and directing online sales.
