Glassdoor Outpaces CareerBuilder.com in U.S. Traffic

The numbers are in, and for the third month in a row, Glassdoor has surpassed CareerBuilder.com in U.S. traffic — making us one of the top four largest jobs sites in the U.S. In addition, Glassdoor is now the fastest growing jobs site when compared to LinkedIn.com, CareerBuilder.com, Monster.com and Indeed.com – based on March YOY comScore traffic reports. This momentum comes as Glassdoor announces two new recruiting solutions: a Self-Serve Job Posting product, and Localized Enhanced Profiles, making it easier for small businesses and global organizations alike to find and hire quality candidates.

With approximately $160 million raised to date, we have a tremendous wind at our back. Glassdoor now welcomes more than 30 million members across 190 countries and we’re continuing to see membership grow throughout the U.S. and internationally. Plus with 450 amazing Glassdoor employees (and growing), we’re not planning on slowing down any time soon.

Glassdoor’s ongoing YOY growth rates according to comScore, have us on quite a tear. Glassdoor grew by an average of 111% in Q1 based on monthly YOY reports. When compared to the same time period, LinkedIn.com grew by 81%, Indeed.com grew by 20%, Monster grew by 10% and CareerBuilder fell by -2%.

Also while many may think that Glassdoor traffic stems solely from people looking to find jobs and research companies, employers too are getting in on Glassdoor. Thousands of employers are realizing how the power of this kind of information culled together can help them recruit. Currently, more than 2,100 employers are Glassdoor clients, including more than 34 percent of the Fortune 500. Plus more than 36,000 employers have signed up for Free Employer Account to claim their profile and engage in the Glassdoor community.

Due to the wealth and depth of information job seekers are able to self-vet before applying to company. As a result, Glassdoor clients see an average of two times better candidate quality. Not to mention, according to the Brandon Hall Group, the average cost-per-hire (CPH) is $385 with Glassdoor, this compares to an $1,100 CPH through other major job boards. Add that to the fact that Glassdoor company profiles see three to 10 times more traffic that profiles on LinkedIn. Why wouldn’t you want to recruit on a site that increasingly attracts more job seekers who are more confident in their job search decisions?
