I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in May 2010
Interview
4 interviewers at stations, with one "bar-raiser" to ask the difficult questions. Although I thought all interviewers had a similar level of difficulty. Most of the questions were analyical--Amazon is not interested in soft questions about your life, and is not interested in the way you dress for the interview either. The analysis was very scenario-oriented: say Amazon is facing a finance decision; what steps would it take?

Question 1
What sorts of costs does Amazon face as an online seller of goods?
two round interview process with potential hiring managers, everyone was kind and informative. i enjoyed speaking with everyone i met and applied for the rotational program. mostly behavioral questions, helps if you can explain why tech and why finance
Very chill and conversational, two 45 min back to back interviews with two different people in different locations. Just behavioral questions, so nothing out of the ordinary. Use the STAR method and everything should be fine.
The interviewers were very friendly and made it a comfortable environment. They were engaged and asked me many questions about myself. Two rounds of interviews back to back with a break in between rounds.
