I wish the auto indutsry was in better shape, but we'll make the best of it

Affinitiv is an incredible company that clearly appreciates us (employees)and makes sure we know it. Great work/lie balance, great benefits, tons of advancement opportunity and great extra curricular team building activities. I think it is rare for a company of this size to see the CEO interact w so many employees across all departments, regardless of their position. It's obvious that I am a fan, but is true! I REALLY love it here :)

I really can't think of anything I would call a "Con". It is a job after all, so there will be things that people wish were different, but that's life :)

I met some of the most amazing people during my time at Affintiv. I got to collaborate with different creative departments and see some of my own creative ideas for projects come to fruition. The “work from here” program let me work anywhere at all. I gained close relationships with my coworkers, as well as some of my clients. They were why I did not want to leave. Great, insightful training programs that teach you more about the industry and prepare you to advance further in your career (if you want to stay in automotive advertising).

Upper-mid management micromanages heavily which causes frustration and problems within the team. I saw two layoffs during my time at Affintiv. If you’re looking at applying, heed my warning: you might not be staying there for long. Expect to take abuse (including yelling and name calling) at all hours of the day from clients with little to no support from the management on your team. Expect to work weekends and long nights with no gratitude from clients or upper management. Sure, they “match industry rates” here but let’s be honest- it’s NOT. A living. Wage. Not if you own a house. Not if you are a parent. Not if you pay rent. Or bills. It’s not enough for the amount of work you do. I didn’t even make 49,000 a year for my position level after years of working there.

I began with the company as a digital marketing intern and had a great experience. All of the teams and departments are so welcoming and everyone is willing to help you out or give advice on something if you need it. I had the opportunity to return as a full time employee and could not be happier with the transition as well as how many learning opportunities I have been presented with already!
