Used to be a good company

      Business services
      Former employee
      Tallinn
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - If you join a good team you will find smart colleagues with strong energy. - Rapid company growth and chances to take ownership and develop. - Opportunity to influence products/processes in a scaling organization. - Summer summit and company parties are good. - Free snacks in the office.

      Cons

      - The Customer Support (CS) department can feel like a “lower caste” inside the company. People may treat you differently, like you’re less qualified. Some leaders (and the CEO) make it pretty clear (in meetings and for the public) that the departments that “really matter” are the tech ones—so if you’re not in tech, you can end up feeling like just a number. - Cut offs of expenses in customer service - - Processes and procedures can be a mess, and (in some teams) it feels like incompetent people end up leading. - It's clear that Estonians get an advantage over other nationalities—more growth opportunities and sometimes better pay for the same role. - Lots of politics inside teams. If you’re tight with the right people, your life gets way easier. - Estonia can feel like a tiny, overpriced “farm” in Europe: expensive for what it offers, and not that much to do. Even the airport can feel worse than a bus station when you want to travel. - If you’re not local, be aware you might land in a place that still isn’t very used to diversity (depending on where you work/live and who you interact with). - Compensation and benefits can feel like a joke. And some people think the IPO will never happen because the level of internal disorganization is massive. - Top management live in a bubble. Leave the Estonian bubble and learn how the real work is done.

      High performance sometimes company

      Senior data analyst
      Current employee

Fast paced - able to make changes without much bureaucracy or approval Lots of opportunities to get hands on The business is growing so there's also opportunity to grow in your career Data driven - sometimes High performance culture Values efficiency and looks at empirical data when making decisions Competitive salary

      Cons

Senior management has a tendency to impose their opinion. Culture of middle management sucking up to senior management and not necessarily having the guts to challenge initiatives that are bad for the business. Serving as senior Management's mouthpiece Claims to be customer first and not obsessed about competitors but in reality competitors come before customers Sometimes not data driven Senior Management has bad attitude. Often uses the I'm the more senior person card Employees trying to copy competitor, not that innovative Bad behavior towards employees not taken care of. Some employees are unprofessional to others and are not dealt with

Toxic positivity, cult-like company culture, nepotism

      Anonymous employee
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - Great health/insurance package, perks, monthly 75€ allowances and sabbatical leave after 4 years. - Office snacks, nice and comfortable office spaces. - Some teams are extremely skilled, doing their best job to help the company grow. - Company used to hire people with little to no experience, giving fresh graduates good head start at working in tech/startup sector.

      Cons

      - Serious business decisions affecting employees’ well-being, life and workload are being made without any consultation, discussion or any input from/of those employees. I remember many times starting my workday unable to eat my breakfast and was so busy that I couldn’t eat my lunch. - Opaque decision-making, nepotism, favouritism exist at the top level of the management and make it difficult to understand and predict how you are going to work in the next 6 months. - People who don’t have relevant background suddenly comes into the important positions abroad and starts cutting costs, changing procedures willy-nilly, putting whole company culture, employee productivity and business at risk. - Toxic positivity throughout the company is pervasive, there is a cult-like environment and some teams have psychology of 14 year olds or showing similar behaviours to gangs/tribes. There is a serious need of company-wide cultural trainings, trainings about passive-agressiveness, professionalism and inclusion. - Company itself does not encourage its core values, even constructive criticism is discouraged, or at best ignored. - There is no positive correlation between work experience and salary, pay is low compared to industry average in general. Specifically, engineering teams are frustrated given how much workload they have got, therefore expect many glitches, problems and issues when you start working. - Poor career opportunities, it is not the skills that will make you to be promoted but how good you are at corporate BS.

      Toxic Employer. Stay Away!

      Business development manager
      Former employee

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

The office is in a great location with a well designed workspace. Nice perks and decent pension contribution.

      Cons

Unfortunately, the work environment is highly toxic. Leadership prioritized personal advancements over the well-being and success of their teams, often at the expense of employees. Accountability is replaced with blame-shifting and throwing people under the bus to protect leadership own interests. Operational challenges, particularly with driver availability in the UK, have been consistently ignored. Rather than addressing the root causes, leadership pushes ineffective solutions onto businesses while setting unrealistic KPIs for the sales team - leading to inevitable failure. The turnover rate among sales people is very high, coinciding with promotion for management, who continue to overpromise without delivering results. The company capitalizes on its brand reputation outside of UK to attract talent, but in reality, employees are used as stepping stones for leadership’s career progression. The culture is exploitative, with no genuine investment in people. Tellingly, none of my former colleagues remain with the company- yet the same leadership is still in place.
