What is the hiring process like at C3 AI?

Interview process was intense, but exactly how they explained it upfront.

The follow-up on questions was lagging a bit, but likely due to pace of activity at the company.

Great talented people who do what they say! Great Enterprise AI Platform technology. They do AI right. They care about delivering business value to the customer.

Growing very fast. Not much time for onboarding and training before your thrown in the deep end. Which is okay with me but a little more time for training would help. Hiring process is long and arduous. But it kept moving forward, and I am here.

C3.ai is highly focused and ready to help enterprises with bringing AI to life, driving real value.

Great at hiring strong talent

Leadership is incompetent. Product doesn’t work. Low integrity

Straightforward interviews, quick negotiation process, motivated and talented teammates around me on the open floor plan, competitive compensation / benefits, interesting projects that bring professional fulfillment, customer-facing role that matters to the success of the company.

Longer than anticipated interview process

- Interesting work with the ability to realize value add over short pilots - Sufficient time provided for onboarding; team willing to give time to support and develop - Sustainable work culture - Great snacks - Free parking

- Hiring process took longer than expected (~4 months), however number of steps and interview content seemed appropriate for role - WeWork space is nice, but not ideal (e.g., standing desk toppers vs. standing desks, low on space as org scales) - No 401K match

The interviewing and onboarding was very smooth. Quite a few hoops to jump through for background and reference check, but overall it felt very organized. It's been a month and the building, people and food are the highlights. The tech is interesting and challenging and people really seem dedicated to moving things forward and making progress. Benefits are fine. In a way their simplicity is nice. Only a couple options for health, etc. Stock grant seems worthwhile assuming the stock doesn't keep going down.

With a lot of "custom" things being created for customers it seems like some misaligned product perspectives in leadership lead to a lot of variations of the product offering. 401K match which is kind of a bummer. I worked from home a couple days because i was sick and these technically count against your sick days of which you get 5. Why would i actually work next time i'm sick then? Might as well just take the day off and try and feel better.
